Mary Carrido

FounderMary L. Carrido founded MLC & Associates in 1987 and currently serves as its chairperson. Ms. Carrido has more than 30 years of experience in consulting and executive coaching. She has used her extensive expertise to work at all levels of organizations to analyze multifaceted situations, develop strategies, and enable and implement tangible results—often requiring facilitation of solutions between numerous diverse and complex groups.
Ms. Carrido’s extensive leadership experience includes a wide range of activities and interests at the frontier of process improvement, organizational development, and executive coaching. Her experience includes team development as well as individual personal life skills development with coaches, administrators, and executives in multiple industry verticals including telecommunications, transportation, real estate, financial, manufacturing, distribution, technology, retail, and education.
Additionally, Ms. Carrido has provided private individual executive coaching to a variety of organizations, managed organizational improvement initiatives, conducted team development and performance improvement efforts, led organizational structure design efforts, and managed process improvement and workflow projects.
Ms. Carrido pursued her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and is a graduate of Stanford University’s Executive Bank Management Program.

President and CEOPrashant Kumar joined MLC & Associates in 2007. As President and CEO, his leadership and vision have given MLC a progressive perspective of Corporate Performance Management (CPM) and his expertise in this field has led to the development of key contributions to MLC’s intellectual property, including MLC’s CPM Assessment Methodology and Blueprint.
Prior to joining MLC, Mr. Kumar worked for several internationally recognized consulting firms and was based in Bangalore, India, and Philadelphia. At these firms, Mr. Kumar developed expertise in SAP consulting, IBM Cognos development, and Business Intelligence. This experience is supplemented by advanced knowledge in Enterprise Planning, Project Management, Strategic Planning, and Information Technology, which were attained by working on projects that span across industries, including real estate development, healthcare, financial, manufacturing, distribution, and consumer products.
Mr. Kumar draws on his broad background to lead his practice and analyze and improve the performance of MLC’s clients. He has been involved in all areas of performance-based initiatives including cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, Key Performance Indicators, dashboarding, scorecarding, and implementing process improvement roadmaps.
Further, his program and project management skills utilize a hands-on approach that lead to real time results that focuses on actionable goals and steps leveraging the skills and strengths of all team members. Mr. Kumar is also a Cognos Certified Planning Product Professional, a Cognos Certified Access Manager Product Professional, and a certified Software Quality Analyst.
Mr. Kumar holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business and a Master of Science in Finance from Temple University in Philadelphia. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Anna University in Chennai, India. Most recently, Mr. Kumar completed the Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy program from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: Sloan School of Management.
In his spare time, Mr. Kumar enjoys finding new music and is a self-professed audiophile. He could listen to “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles every day. One of the most thrilling things he has done was take flying lessons. If he could be on the cover of any magazine, it would be the Harvard Business Review and the title would read, “Lead with Passion.”
Robert Takemura

PartnerBob Takemura has been with MLC & Associates for more than 15 years, serving as Chief Operating Officer before becoming a Partner in January of 2009. While at MLC, Mr. Takemura has led private and public sector clients through a wide range of initiatives. His experience includes Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning, Data Security, Program Management, Information Technology, and Strategic Development. He also has extensive experience in Program Management and Security for the food, manufacturing, hospitality, and real estate industries.
Mr. Takemura is the creator of many assessment formats at MLC, including Business Continuity, Change Readiness, and Risk Assessment. He has performed physical assessments for numerous client facilities, performed Business Impact Analyses and Risk Assessments, developed Business Continuity Programs and Plans, and has written and managed numerous simulations and exercises.
Furthermore, Mr. Takemura is credited for developing many of MLC’s models and visual aids. He has co-created the award winning Six Component Model for Business Continuity, the blueprint used in Program and Project Management, and also the Medication Error Elimination blueprint for the healthcare industry. His ability to convert complex information into straightforward visual models and reports provides valuable expertise to MLC’s broad client base.
Mr. Takemura holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Real Estate Finance certificate from UCLA.
